Oral surgery is a general term that describes any surgical procedure performed on the teeth, gums, jaw, or surrounding structures of the mouth and face. It includes a wide range of procedures including tooth extraction, dental bone grafting, periodontal (gum) grafts and corrective jaw surgery.

Types of Oral Surgery performed at our hospital

1. Tooth Extraction: The most popular type of oral surgery is tooth extraction. It may be necessary if a natural tooth is damaged or decayed
2. Dental bone graft: If bone loss in the jaw occurs, a dental bone graft is necessary.
3. Dental implant: Dental implants are widely considered to be the most reliable and long-lasting tooth replacement option available.
4. Periodontal surgery: Periodontal surgery restores the look and function of gums, teeth and bone damaged because of severe gum disease.

1. Corrective jaw surgery: It also called orthognathic surgery – eliminates skeletal abnormalities in the jaw bones.
2. Sleep apnea surgery: Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) occurs when tissue in the back of the throat fall back and blocks the airway during sleep.
